The purpose of this research is to develop new breeding strategies for resilient and highly nutritious berries, by bringing together public and private actors for partnerships created by internationally renowned scientists. The specific objective is to improve berry sustainability and quality and fulfill consumers’ requirements, through a proficient use of genetic and environmental resources. The plan is to assess present state of fruit quality, predictable future challenges and trends of berry fruit traits, explore consumer preferences, needs and expectations, as related to berry quality. This 4-year project involves 8 countries, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom, to provide a detailed overview of berry quality state-of-the-art, and promote new environment-friendly cultivars and agronomic techniques. The project BreedingValue project is financed by EU H2020 programme under grant agreement No 101000747.

Dear potential research participant,

this project is aimed to improve berry sustainability, quality, fulfill consumers’ requirements as related to berry market current state and future trends, to support an eco-friendly, health- and high-quality oriented evolution of berry. Thus, we ask you to participate to this survey to contribute to this research.
