Risks and Benefits of participation: there are no foreseeable risks involved in participating in this study. Questionnaires compilation will take approximatively 20 minutes, and all individual test scores will be kept anonymous. Testing data will be analyzed in a group format. The primary benefit of participating to this research is to contribute to develop new sustainable berry varieties, providing consumers with healthy and tasty fruits.
Voluntary Participation and Right to Withdraw: you are free to participate or not to the proposed activity. Your participation in this research is completely voluntary. You can withdraw from the study at any time without penalty, having all your expressed scores immediately deleted.
Information on data protection, privacy and data retention: the results of this study will be analyzed in terms of groups. All the information obtained will be strictly confidential, used for scientific research purpose, but will never be associated to your name or any element allowing your identification, in agreement with UE general data protection regulation.

Purpose and legal basis
Collecting information through a survey.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your consent in accordance with Article 6 (1) a) GDPR. By sending the completed questionnaire, you consent to the collection, processing and use of the data under the stated conditions.
The data is required for the following purpose:
• Survey to determine preferences for taste and other characteristics of berries.
The aim of the survey is to contribute to the development of new, sustainable berry varieties in order to offer consumers healthy and tasty fruits.
The data will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the General Data protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG-neu) and other relevant data protection regulations. The processing and use of the individual data are necessary for the survey:
Our contractual documents, forms, consent forms and other information provided to you (e.g. on the website) will provide you with further details and additions to the purposes of the processing.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and can be cancelled at any time. In case of a cancellation, the data will not be included in the survey.
Data collection is anonymous.
Names, e-mail addresses, date/time and IP addresses are not collected or stored. An identification of the participants is not intended.
However, due to the answers given by the participants (especially in the free text fields or in combinations of different answers), it cannot be ruled out with absolute certainty that a conclusion can be drawn about a specific person.
Transfer of data to a third country or an international organization
We confirm, that the transfers are in accordance with chapter V of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 and that such transfers comply with the laws of the country in which the data was collected. No data processing takes place outside the EU or the EEA.
Storage period
We process and store your data as long as it is necessary for the fulfilment of contractual and legal obligations of the BreedingValue project partners and the above-mentioned purposes. If the data is no longer required for the fulfilment of these purposes and our obligations, it will be deleted on a regular basis.
After evaluation of the data, a summary final report will be prepared. The publication of the data in the form of scientific publication is not excluded. All of these publications will be based only on aggregated and anonymous data.
Your rights
You have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the personal data concerning you:
